Process Service and Field Visit Price List

(Current to May 31st 2012)

These are our standard charges for document service and field visits. Our policy is to charge flat fees and not charge for time. Our aim is to have a 'no-surprises' charging system. We believe that overall this gives our clients good value for money as well as transparency regarding how we charge.

Documents for service should be posted to our Head Office:

Level 3, Devon Centre, 44 Liardet St, New Plymouth 4310.

An extra mileage charge of 0.95c per kilometre applies for locations off the main highways between the towns listed below. Locations on the main highways between these towns are charged at the rate for the nearest town.

Individual Quotes Only:

Whangamomana, Ohura, Taumaranui, Turangi and all addresses on highways to these towns outside areas covered above.

Also, any other location not covered above.

Multiple Serves

Where multiple serves are to be made on the same party or multiple parties at the same address, the following discounts apply:

Where service is achieved on the same attempt at the same address for multiple documents on the same party, the first service will be charged at the standard price and the second and more serves at $40.00 plus GST each.

Where service is achieved on the same attempt at the same address on multiple parties, the first service will be charged at the standard price and the service on the second party for $50.00, with further services on either party at $40.00.

If it is not possible to serve the documents at the same time on multiple parties, normal charges will apply.

Affidavits

The above prices include sending you an Interim Service Report once the document is duly served, and swearing an Affidavit of Service at the Courthouse if required.

The affidavit of service is normally prepared by our clients. If you require us to draft the Affidavit an extra fee will apply, as follows:

Notice of Claim (where we can use our standard template): $30.00

All other affidavits: $60.00

We reserve the right to decline to prepare the affidavit.

Trace Fees

If the address you give us proves to be incorrect, the following fees apply:

If we are able to establish what the correct address is with minimal work, a fee of $20.00 will apply. Note: This fee will apply automatically to all document service jobs which are sent with an incorrect address.

If more complex tracing activity is required, we will contact you first to agree a trace fee before we initiate the trace activity. This will be a minimum of $60.00. (You may of course chose to conduct the trace activity your self).

Conditions

All figures are exclusive of GST.

Addresses on the main highways in between these towns are charged at the same price as the nearest town.

If you require very urgent document service jobs - i.e. must be served within a day or two of you sending us the job, we may need to charge extra in some circumstances. We will let you know before hand if this is the case.

We will make a minimum of 3 attempts to serve a document for the prices quoted. We will contact you to discuss before charging more than the prices quoted in special circumstances.

Off Main Highways: Prices as above, plus vehicle charge of 0.95c per kilometer from point where we leave main highway.
